The XRP Ledger (XRPL) witnessed the sale of one XPUNK NFT for 75,300 XRP, currently valued at over $37,000. The sale occurred on the popular marketplace onXRP and represents the second largest NFT sale recorded on the XRP Ledger. The sale included XPUNK 6697. The NFT in question is ranked number 1 in rarity score among the 10,000 collectibles in the XPUNK collection.
On-chain data shows that this is the largest NFT sale recorded on XRPL this year and the second largest of all time. The biggest sale of all time came in November of last year and was associated with the sale of the XPUNK 8811, which is ranked number 3 in terms of rarity score.
Thanks to the contributions made by XPUNKS and other NFT collections such as xSPECTAR, Bored Apes XRP Club and UNIXPUNKs, the NFT market on XRPL has grown significantly in recent times. Bithomp data shows that there have been a total of 142,442 NFT trades on the XRP Ledger since NFT features came to the network. The total cumulative trading volume is 21.24 mln XRP, worth over $10.4 mln.
