Decathlon presented its virtual reality project Rockrider Geocaching, which connects outdoor activities and the digital world via the Tezos blockchain. 1,000 NFTs were distributed on both sides of the Rhine border, which is about 180 kilometers long between France and Germany.
To participate in the Rockrider Geocaching Game and be able to find digital treasures hidden using GPS coordinates, users need GPS-enabled devices or mobile phones with similar capabilities. Participants must be within at least 50 meters of the GPS coordinate of the desired NFT collectible for the NFT to appear in the wallet.
With an NFT in your Web3 wallet, you can join the Decathlon and Rockrider communities. It’s worth noting that the company has not yet fully defined the role of NFTs as collectibles for the Rockrider system, but there are already certain benefits for winners.
