Rapper Snoop Dogg stepped in to save WrestleMania 39’s streak on Sunday in a Bored Ape outfit after Shane McMahon suffered an injury.
WWE revealed that the 51-year-old American rapper hosted the match alongside The Miz. Notably, Dogg’s impromptu victory in a BAYC outfit became the talk of the NFT town.

During WrestleMania 39, Shane McMahon reportedly suffered a torn quad early on in his match against The Miz.
After the 53-year-old could not continue, Rapper Snoop Dogg stepped in to replace McMahon. WWE highlighted the ‘WrestleMania’ style powerful elbow that sent The Miz to the ground.

People were quick to notice Snoop Dogg’s “Dr. Bombay” outfit amid applause for his contribution to the event’s success. The rapper wore a Death Row Records print, Dr. Bombay Leopard Velour Track Jacket with matching Bored Ape track pants.
Lawsuit Claims Celebrities Misled BAYC Investors
The BAYC NFT #6723, “Dr. Bombay,” is the basis for the Death Row NFT clothing line. Snoop Dogg bought Death Row Records in February 2022 and declared he would turn it into an NFT label.
Dogg’s Dr. Bombay attire grabbed eyeballs earlier when US food start-up “Food Fighters Universe” revealed plans to open an NFT-themed restaurant based on the rapper’s Dr. Bombay Bored Ape Yacht Club digital collection.
However, in December 2022, Yuga Labs Inc. was hit with a class action lawsuit. The lawsuit against the creator of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection was filed in the United States Central District Court of California, Western Division. The lawsuit targeted several celebrities, including Snoop Dogg, for hyping the NFT’s value. Dozen other celebrities, including Justin Bieber and Madonna, were part of the lawsuit.
The legal action was brought on behalf of investors who alleged that the dozen celebrity defendants disregarded U.S. SEC rules regarding investment endorsements. In February, in a separate court case involving trademark infringement, Yuga Labs stuck a settlement with Thomas Lehman, a Ryder Ripps developer.
