zkEVM network Scroll achieved a significant milestone on October 29, exceeding a milestone of 200,000 single-day transactions. The achievement coincided with an all-time high of 86,636 new addresses created in a single day. Scroll, a new player in the zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) sector, earlier recorded over $15 million in Total Value Locked (TVL) in less than one week of mainnet launch.

According to data from Scrollscan, the number of daily transactions on the Scroll network soared to a new high of 202,711 on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

What could be driving the unprecedented surge in activity on Scroll?

A potential catalyst fueling the surge is the recent introduction of the Scroll Origin NFT, a non-transferable soulbound NFT. On October 27, Scroll unveiled a commemorative NFT known as “Scroll Origins” to celebrate its early builders.

This unique NFT features a Scroll-themed background, capturing metadata such as the first deployment date, the order of deployment, the deployment address, and the initial deployed contract transaction hash. Notably, Scroll plans additional surprises for builders who deploy exceptional contracts on the Mainnet.

“We envision the Scroll Origins NFT as a symbol of recognition for Scroll’s early builders, a link that bonds the Scroll community, and a reminder of what is possible when we build and collaborate together,” Scroll stated.

NFT Eligibility

The Scroll Origins NFT program offers three types of NFTs based on the timing of smart contract deployment within the first 60 days of the Genesis Block which occurred on October 10, 2023, at 6 AM GMT.

• Quintic: For users deploying within the first 30 days of the Genesis Block (before November 9, 2023).
• Quartic: For users deploying between days 30 and 45 of the Genesis Block (before November 24, 2023).
• Cubic: For users deploying between days 45 and 60 of the Genesis Block (before December 9, 2023).

Eligible users will be able to claim the Scroll Origins NFT on the Scroll website starting December 14, 2023, at 10 PM GMT.
