Green Metaverse Token (GMT) is the governance token of a fitness application called STEPN. Its main goal is to encourage a healthy lifestyle and promote eco-friendliness. The app allows users to earn rewards for moving around outside when they equip their NFT sneakers. At the time of writing, it was one of the most popular fitness apps on both Google Play and the AppStore.

STEPN was co-founded by Jerry Huang and Yawn Rong. The former is a well-established game developer, while the latter is a crypto angel investor and entrepreneur.
