Today, the DappRadar tracking stats show that there have been only 42 active users in the last 24 hours. However, Decentraland has quickly responded to the latest figures, labeling the figures as ‘misinformation.’ Instead, they offer their own stats and data to back up a higher number of users. So, how many people are using Decentraland, and why are Decentraland users disappearing?

The data from DappRadar is mind-blowing, and will certainly raise concerns in companies looking to invest in the Decentraland metaverse. In a tweet, Decentraland spoke about the controversy surrounding the number of active daily users, stating “Lately, there has been a lot of misinformation on the number of active users of Decentraland. Some websites track only specific smart contract transactions but report them as daily active users DAU, which is inaccurate.”
