how to get the crypto airdrop

In this article, we look at how to get the next layer-2 scroll crypto airdrop.

The project has recently arrived on the mainnet after a long testnet phase in which the functionality of the chain was tested by the community.

It is now poised to take a place of honour in Ethereum’s zk rollup ranking, given its potential on a technological level.

Scroll was recently valued at $1.8 billion after closing a $50 million funding round.

Given the need to decentralise its ecosystem, it is likely that a native token of the cryptographic network will be launched and distributed to all the early adopters who have contributed to its growth.

Below are all the details on how to qualify for Scroll’s airdrop and get the highest possible allocation.

Scroll crypto project launches on mainnet after successful testnet phase

Scroll is a security-focused Ethereum scaling solution that uses zero-knowledge cryptographic proof-of-concept technology to provide a smart contract development platform that is simple, accessible, reliable and responsive to user skills.

This crypto project, which may soon release an airdrop to its target community, was founded in 2021 with the intention of scaling Ethereum through a layer-2 network that would allow an increase in the number of transactions executable per second while reducing the operational costs associated with this practice.

By prioritising code security through open source collaboration, Scroll protects developers and users from the cyber vulnerabilities that plague the crypto world.

The neutrality with which this chain approaches each implementation demonstrates its desire to remove any internal power imbalance and make its infrastructure decentralised and autonomous.

Today, Scroll uses zk-rollup technology, which, by connecting to Ethereum’s virtual machine (EVM) and using a cryptographic proof of work, manages to distribute the main network’s workload to off-chain environments, effectively optimising the blockchain’s efficiency.

At the end of February 2023, the infrastructure development team launched the proopria zkEVM on the Goerli testnet as it emerged from the pre-alpha phase, where it achieved significant results, reaching the staggering figure of 1 million unique addresses created and 16 million transactions executed.

It is estimated that during the Goerli Scroll testnet phase, it was able to implement more than 450,000 smart contracts and recorded an average of 305,000 transactions per day for a total of 9 million blocks generated and 280,000 zk trials.

Following its excellent performance, the crypto world’s blue chip project decided to make its grand market debut by announcing its long-awaited mainnet landing on 17 October.

Scroll is valued at $1.8 billion after receiving $80 million in private funding: this money will be used by the network team to further enhance its ecosystem by creating successful applications and decentralising every single element in it.

Part of this money could be used to develop an internal utility token that users can use to pay for the network’s gas and access other services.

Many believe that, given the trend of Ethereum zk airdrops, Scroll will also decide to distribute this alleged token to all those who have contributed in step and will contribute in the coming months to make Scroll’s infrastructure stronger.

Based on the strong performance of layer-2 and taking into account the investments of hedge funds, it is likely that this crypto airdrop will be worth at least $1,000 per user and will be redeemable by performing simple tasks.

How to Qualify for Scroll Airdrop: Bridges, Volumes and Interaction with Protocols

Let’s take a step-by-step look at how to qualify for the scroll airdrop and get the maximum allocation during the future token distribution.

As with any Ethereum rollup airdrop strategy, the first thing to do is to bridge and transfer at least 0.05 ETH from the main network to layer 2.

It is very important to do this via the official website, without using alternative third party bridges, and repeat this step 2-3 times over the next 6 months if possible.

The second thing to do is to exchange and provide liquidity to the DEXs of the Scroll network.

You can check out all the new decentralised exchanges being added to the mainnet in real time, so you can stay up to date and try out all the available platforms.

Currently, the largest DEXs on Scroll are SyncSwap, Kyberswap, Dodo, Izumi Finance, Skydrome and Layerbank.

The goal is to generate enough trading volume to get the airdrop without spending too much on gas fees.

In general, it is a good idea to register at least $10,000 in volume and spread the transactions over a number of months to establish yourself as a regular user of the chain.

Generating volumes above this figure is a good thing to try to get the highest possible allocation, but you need to have enough funds to avoid doing more than 100 transactions and paying too much in commissions.

Finally, the last step to earn tokens from Scroll’s airdrop is to interact with the rest of the dapps in the centralised ecosystem, in its NFT, Gaming, social, community, tooling, etc. sectors.

In this case, it will be enough to interact with at least 10 different smart contracts. Even better if it exceeds the threshold of 25 (a number often mentioned in past airdrops of other projects).

Other useful tips for success in this activity are:

  • Be active on the main Ethereum chain by holding at least 0.05 ETH and making a few trades at least once every 3 months.
  • Use 2-3 different wallets to maximise profit, never transferring assets between them
  • Make at least 1 transaction per week. You can track your progress on this tracker
  • Try Testnet
  • Open a multi-signature wallet on Safe with the same address you use to interact with Scroll.
  • Get guild roles and join the official discord
