The Our Force 1 collection has been in the making since late 2022, when Nike launched a tournament to determine the best colorways of the past forty years. In early 2023, the brand also introduced the Your Force 1 competition, the winners of which will receive not only a $5,000 cash prize, but also their own digital AF1, as well as royalties from future collection item sales.
Now that most of the prep work is done, Nike is finally preparing for the 7-step release of Our Force 1. While they haven’t given an exact date yet, the brand has detailed the entire process on social media. OF1 posters will be randomly distributed to selected .SWOOSH members, giving them first access to purchase. Shortly thereafter, all members of the .SWOOSH domain will be able to receive their own OF1 box, which can either be left sealed or opened to reveal its contents.
Following the reveal, one will be able to view a gallery of every single OF1 virtual creation as well as collect and trade pairs as they see fit. Each OF1 will provide its owner a number of utilities, such as special access to products, experiences, and more.
